Homeless Community Support

My name is Michael McConnell, and I have been volunteering to help people struggling to survive on our streets, parks and canyons for over a decade. Many of you know me through my social media sites, Homelessness News San Diego where I document the crisis in our region. I have never seen the situation as dire as it is right now. Encampments have spread throughout our city and county and real solutions seem no closer than they were a decade ago. People are constantly asking me for water, food and other survival gear. The City of San Diego has also been conducting aggressive sweeps where peoples belongings are thrown away. Many of you have asked how to donate to help this effort. This GoFundMe is the result of those requests. I will be distributing tents, blankets, food and other survival gear with your donations. I may also distribute to other grassroots efforts to assist in getting items out to people in other areas I do not routinely get to. 100% of your donation will go to these items. Together, we will help people survive while they wait for our leaders to work on the housing and services they keep promising. Thank You!!
