The Campbell Family Tornado Relief

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Jon and I'm fundraising for the Campbell family who lost their home at 2212 Ridge Road, Springfield, to an EF2 tornado strike in the early morning hours of Feb. 28th. Thankfully no one was injured and many of their possessions were able to be recovered, but the home is a total loss and the family has found itself temporarily scattered as each member has sought different temporary accommodations to best suit their needs.

The eldest son TJ, 20, is my employee of four years and is a tremendously bright and hardworking young man. He earned his associate's degree while still in high school and is currently halfway through his second year of Wright State University's mechanical engineering program. He is currently staying with friends. His sister Emma, 16, is a student at Global Impact STEM Academy and is also staying with friends of her own. Their mother Emi works for ITI, a Honda supplier in Brookville, and has been given temporary use of an employer-owned apartment in that town. The children have opted to stay in Springfield to cause as little disruption to their work and school schedules as possible, with Emi coming to Springfield every day to spend time with them. While everyone is in relatively good spirits despite the terrible situation they've found themselves in, it goes without saying that the time apart is a multi-faceted strain.

All money raised will be given directly to the family to use as they see fit to ease the emotional and financial burden of being displaced. Thankfully they were well insured against the property damage itself, but without a home to call their own they will be facing increased food and travel costs, loss of income as they field endless calls and go to meetings with insurance and contractors, and begin the process of finding a new place to live. There is also the near-term re-acquisition of essential items that couldn't be salvaged from the wreckage, which as we all know can be a financial death by a thousand cuts. Any donation you are able to give would be very much appreciated and will go a long way toward easing this transitory period they find themselves in following the loss of their home.

Thank you!
