Hello, this is Eric Smith, founder of (RCL) Reading Changes Lives, and I hope this message finds you well. Reading Changes Lives, Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit organization for the public benefit. Our Mission is to teach and promote the importance of literacy to non-readers and reluctant readers. I noticed late in life that my parents could not read or write. Yet, they were able to raise (9) children and purchase property. They are deceased now, However in their honor, Frank and Lizzie Smith, Reading Changes Lives Inc, was born, and now a Literacy Garden is coming soon located downtown. This is sacred ground as this Literacy Garden will be erected on the same property Frank and Lizzie once owned. (10th and Magnolia Street)
We believe that people need each other. Therefore we need your support. This Literacy Garden will be a hub where summer programs will be provided for students of all ages. We will provide a safe outdoor environment for our kids to learn word recognition, comprehension, how to articulate their understanding of what's being taught and more.
The funds we raise on this page will go towards providing Fencing, A walkway, Plants, Chairs, Benches, Signage/Symbols/Banners
