Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope
Tax deductible
1 in 6 students in Alabama are hungry. Nowhere in our state do students face food insecurity more than in the Black Belt. Research at the University of West Alabama has shown that students in the Black Belt suffer from very low food security at over 11 times the national average.
During the 2022-23 school year, your donations helped provide Secret Meals to 51 students in Sumter County middle schools. This year, your generosity helped us feed 60 students across three schools. Can we count on your help as we plan for the upcoming school year (2024-25)?
All funds raised will go to the West Alabama Food Bank, which provides students with weekend food assistance. Every $140 raised will provide weekend meals for one student for an entire school year. Please join us in making a difference!
