College expenses

My name is Scarlett. I'm a senior at Dunwoody High School, and I've been accepted to Middle Georgia State University for the upcoming fall semester. I'm thrilled about my future, but I've faced significant challenges that have made it difficult for me to support myself financially. When I was 13, my dad passed away, and then my mother was diagnosed with kidney failure. I took care of her and managed her treatments, but sadly she passed away when I was 16. Now, as an orphan, I don't have any familial financial support.

I'm currently living with my boyfriend's family, who have treated me like one of their own. However, they don't have the financial means to support my college education. Government financial aid won't cover all my college fees, including textbooks, housing, meal plans, and application fees. Despite these challenges, I'm determined to succeed and make the most of my life. A degree is crucial for me to achieve my goals and turn my life around. Mi nombre es Scarlett. Soy estudiante de último año en la Escuela Secundaria Dunwoody, y he sido aceptada en la Universidad Estatal de Middle Georgia para el semestre del otoño. Estoy emocionada por mi futuro, pero he enfrentado desafíos significativos que han dificultado mi sustento económico.
