A Family Grieving

Hello.

My name is Brooke and I am starting a GoFundMe in order to get assistance with the recent loss of my father.

This Monday, I received a grim message from my father, saying goodbye and that he was leaving what little he had left to me to take care of myself and make a future for myself. It was the last message I ever got from him.

He was a great man. Intelligent, bold, blunt. He wasn't afraid to speak his mind but he was also tenderhearted and kind. He wasn't one to always show how he was feeling, but you could always tell he loved you and wanted the best for you. It's so hard to know that someone my family and I loved and cared about so deeply, hurt in such a way that he felt like the only option left was to take his life.

Suicide is something that is so heartbreaking and is so harrowing to experience, and to see a loved one go through it is something that fills us with a sense of regrets and unfulfilled questions. I wish I could have done more to help my father when he was still here with us.

I am raising the funds to help pay for the expenses that will proceed following his passing. Unfortunately I am uncertain as to how the inheritance will come about, so I will also need to hire legal assistance to help me with understanding what option I have with what is left of his belongings. I am also trying to get funds accumulated to help the family with paying for the funeral as well, so any assistance with the legal fees or the funeral are greatly appreciated.
