Dear friends, family, and generous hearts,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts but unwavering hope. Five years ago, our cherished family member was diagnosed with esophagus cancer and given just under a year to live. Against all odds, he has shown incredible strength and resilience, defying the initial prognosis. However, the cancer has recently taken a devastating turn, spreading rapidly, and the treatments that were once slowing the spread of cancer are no longer effective.

In our quest to keep our beloved father, uncle, husband, and brother with us for years to come, we have discovered a ray of hope – a new drug that has shown remarkable results. This treatment offers hope when the alternative treatments are no longer working.

However this treatment comes at a significant cost, one that our healthcare system will not cover, and one that our family cannot shoulder alone. That is why we are reaching out to you, our extended family, friends, and kind-hearted individuals to help us raise the funds needed to provide this potentially life-extending treatment for our loved one. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to providing this treatment so that he can continue to be the wonderful family member and friend that we cherish. Every year, Graeme and his sons spend weeks setting up their Christmas light display that the community has come to know and love. Collecting items and money for the local food bank.
