Help Carol Get Into Her RV
Donation protected
Here's a photo of Carol's dog and her two cats who live in her car with her.
Carol is 55 years old and has never been homeless until now. She was on section 8, but still couldn’t cover rent. She soon found herself homeless on January 3rd. Today, Carol is living in her car along with her two cats and one dog.
A 26-foot trailer has been donated to Carol. It does need some repairs, but Carol knows how to use her hands and feels she can do these herself. However, if somebody out there is interested in assisting her with the repairs I’m sure she would welcome the help.
Now, THIS is where the real call for public assistance comes in:
In order for Carol to park her RV in a place where she will not be harassed by GV law enforcement she will need to move it into an official RV Park. This requires a $637 deposit and this is what we are asking from the community.
I have a feeling it really wouldn’t take OUR LOCAL PEEPS very long to throw together $637 and get this grandmother and her three pets off the streets.
Though she needs a cane to walk, Carol would really like to go back to work and serve community again. She has been a social worker since she was in her twenties -- helping people along the way who fell into misfortune. Now the table has turned for Carol… I would love for us turn it back around for her like she has for so many others for so long!
Carol is very capable, she simply needs a little boost.
Anyone think we can do this too?
