Breast Reduction Surgery

Hi, I’m Summer. I’m 19 years old and have been struggling with my breast size for many years. I currently have 34M breasts, and as you can imagine this greatly affects my day to day life. I have struggled with exercise for years due to the size of my breasts which has caused issues with my weight making it insanely hard to lose anything. My mental health has been greatly impacted by this too as I have experienced body dysmorphia and bullying due to the way my body looks. I have never felt comfortable in my body. I experience awful back pain from simple things, I get shoulder pains from wearing a bra for an hour or two. The price of bras that fit me is insane (starting from £50) if I can even find someone who makes my size. I’m a young broke university student, I do not have the funds personally to pay for the surgery and have had no luck with getting it on the NHS. The price of a private breast reduction surgery ranges from £5,000 to £9,000 based on the size and requirements of the surgery, there is also the added cost of a lift after this surgery to make the breasts look more ‘normal’ and to get rid of the extra skin. The total cost therefore is at least £12,000, I know this amount of money is a lot in todays world but I simply cannot do it alone. I’m forever grateful for my family and loved ones who’ve helped me.
