Kyle Gauweiler

This is Kyle Gauweiler, who at age 16 is fighting his second battle against cancer.  When Kyle was just ready to graduate 8th grade he was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma and underwent emergency surgery to remove a tumor from his brain stem.  He spent the following two years undergoing radiation, chemotherapy and working hard at rehabilitating himself.  He was doing really well and looking forward to attending his junior year of high school.  

  

Near the end of August,  he started to experience leg pain and an MRI confirmed the family’s greatest fear.   A large tumor was found at the base of his spine.  Since then he has had two surgeries and has had to endure things that no child should.  He now faces extensive rehabilitation, radiation and chemotherapy.

We are hoping this fundraiser will provide some financial support for the Gauweiler family.  This will hopefully enable them to focus on Kyle’s needs while generous friends, family and kind strangers help to ease the financial burden of the immediate future.
