"Giving Grace" For The Family Of Logan Knerr

Tax deductible

On the morning of July 29 Logan Knerr would unknowingly walk out of the house never getting to see his wife and little girls again. You see, sometimes we have things happen that we don’t expect. Logan, more than most, knows that tragedies happen every day. After all, as a firefighter, it was his duty to save others. He enjoyed his career so much that he not only worked at one firehouse, but two. Working at two firehouses wasn’t enough to keep him busy though. Like many firefighters, due to their schedule, they work multiple jobs. Logan didn’t just work just any other job though, he had his own business. He would do odd end jobs. He was the kind of guy that would take on a job if others wouldn’t, just to help. He was just that kind of guy, the kind that helps others in any way he can. On this said day in July, the job he had was to take down a tree. He did this task successfully, however, when he stepped back over near the tree, another had fallen on him and taken his life. Logan, at 33 years old would never again be able to help another member in our community.

Logan, as many of us have, had a dream.

Before his passing he and his wife, Ashley, had gutted a smaller home with plans of remodeling it and moving their small family into it. They were not quite halfway finished when his accident took place. The reason Giving Grace has gotten involved is to help to spread the word so that Ashley and the two girls can hopefully be in the house for Christmas. They have had many changes take place within the last few months and giving them the opportunity to wake up in the place Ashley dreamed with creating with Logan could be one of the greatest gifts for her and the girls. First Responders are there when we need them for every emergency they are called upon. With the help of your monetary gift, Giving Grace, along with the amazing and giving community we live in, can be there in return for our first responders when they need us the most. Let’s make a positive difference in this family’s life for Christmas!

Fundraiser for the Family of Logan Knerr is organized by Giving Grace with The Key To Giving. Giving Grace was created by Tina Thompson, Host of the Down Home with Tina show. In the fall of 2020 Tina went on a ride along with her local police department and one of the local fire engine houses. She learned first hand what it’s like to be in the position our first responders are in everyday. What she means by that is, each day they go in, they never know what they may face but are willing to help and save others. Since then she has become passionate about helping first responders when they need it the most. She truly believes because they are there for us when we are sometimes at our most vulnerable and even the most tragic time in our lives, that hopefully we in return can find it in our hearts to be there for them. Missions like these couldn’t happen without the amazing support of our community….YOU!! Hugs & Blessings!!
