FTC Team Fundraiser
Tax deductible
We are 24 Karat, a FTC robotics team out of Kent, Ohio. We are part of FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology) a program with over 668,000 participants introducing students to STEM. FIRST teaches students in 4th to 12th grade programming, building, and teamwork.
We participate in a challenge for 7th to 12th graders called FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). In FTC we use motors, fabricated parts, and 3D-printed parts to make an 18"x 18" Robot. The robot competes on a 12 by 12-foot course, against other teams, completing missions to earn points. Matches are 2 minutes and 30 seconds with the winner determined by the team with the most points at the end. The first 30 seconds of the match are programmed in advance to run autonomously. For the remaining two minutes two drivers are driving the robot using remote controls to continue scoring points.
In addition to competing, we do outreach events in the community to help get more kids involved in STEM. All our coaches and mentors are volunteers so our team is completely self-sufficient but only with the generosity of sponsors, grants, and the community. Thank you for your consideration and support through our 2024-2025 season.
