On 28 March 2025, Myanmar (Burma) was severely struck by a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake, centred near Mandalay. The disaster has caused widespread destruction, collapsing homes, historical landmarks, and vital infrastructure, significantly impacting communities already facing immense hardship due to ongoing political challenges.
