Mission Oxygen For India
India is currently fighting the world’s worst second wave of COVID-19 with record breaking daily cases. In recent weeks, we have witnessed extremely distressing scenes of human suffering and devastation from the Indian subcontinent. The people of India have been brought to their knees, gasping for breath due to the sheer scale of the pandemic ravaging the country, collapse of a fragile healthcare system and systemic failures.
Hospitals and healthcare providers are running out of resources in their fight against the pandemic and the situation on the ground is dire. Oxygen is critically needed by hospitals to treat patients.

Mission Oxygen aims to source Oxygen Concentrators (OCs) and other medical supplies to aid the fight against COVID-19.
These oxygen concentrators shall be given to two organizations: CEL and Swaath.app working on the ground to help COVID-19 patients struggling to get access to medical oxygen.
Community Empowerment Lab (CEL) is a health research and innovation organization based in central Uttar Pradesh, a rural area with a population of ~150,000. CEL is working directly with the community and Uttar Pradesh National Health Mission to mount a COVID-19 emergency response. At the moment every 4th household has at least one member who is affected. The oxygen concentrators will be set up in the community health centres to provide care to patients locally.

Over the last few weeks, a distressing picture of the situation in rural India is emerging. Available resources and infrastructure are largely insufficient to meet the growing demand. This is expected to escalate over the coming months. Swasth Alliance is working with a variety of on-ground not-for-profit partners to build critical care facilities with much-needed supplies like oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters, thermometers, nutritional supplies, vitamins, medicines and more.
Please join me in supporting India during these very difficult times. Your generous help and support will go a long way in mitigating the humanitarian crisis developing at an unimaginable scale.
Thanks
