Widow In Need

Hello. My name is Lynn Mark. As some of you may know, I am a widow. My husband passed away 8 years ago, after battling an illness and unfortunately, he did not leave me any money or life insurance. It has been a constant struggle to get by, but I am grateful through God’s grace that he has gotten me this far and I managed to raise my youngest son.

However, right now, my son and I are in the in-between places. My son recently graduated from college and is looking for a full-time job. He lives with me and has always been a great help, but his part-time school job will be ending soon (since he is no longer a student), and he has not found a full-time career job yet.

We have always pooled our resources together to get by and have been very frugal in our ways. We were always blessed to have hand-me-down clothes and The Good Will Stores always had great bargains. Friendly neighbors and kind church folks have helped to repair things, and if they couldn’t repair them, we just got used to getting by. Food pantries have been helpful too.

I have also had some health challenges that have limited my mobility. I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia years ago, and that has affected my body in different ways. But I just grin and bear it, and carry on. I work remotely at home as a scheduler, which I am grateful for, because when I am in pain, I can take some breaks before starting again. However, my job is commission based, so it’s not a steady income. But I am always grateful for any positive thing in my life, which helps me to deal with these stressors.

Due to our challenges, I have come to a crossroads where I am in need of asking for help. I am slightly embarrassed to ask for help, but I know that is what Go Fund Me is for, to help in challenging times.

I am asking for help to cover 2 months of my mortgage and for food, while we are in the in-between places. The total I am trying to raise is $3,679.

The grace period to pay my August 2023 mortgage on time is August 10, 2023. I am trying to raise $1,489.53 (mortgage) + $200 for food + $150 (to cover Go Fund Me Fees) (totaling $1,839.53) before August 10, 2023.

I am trying to raise the other $1,839.53 (mortgage, food and Go Fund Me Fees) before September 10, 2023.

I am hoping and praying that my son finds his full-time career job by or before October 2023, so we can be stabilized.
