Jasper's Journey
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for joining Jasper's Journey with us!
Recently we found out that a family member of ours, Jasper O'Briant, a fourteen-year-old boy, has been diagnosed with Localized Osteoblastic Osteosarcoma, rare cancer. However, this form of cancer is very common in children, and his case looks very typical and is currently only in his arm.
Jasper will be starting chemo on Monday; it will be inpatient, 3 to 4 nights in hospital per treatment, 10 weeks of chemo, then surgery to remove the tumor and affected bone. There will also be 3 weeks of healing after surgery and more chemo. Overall this treatment plan will be about 32 weeks.
Jasper is the youngest of three boys and the son of Jody and Elizabeth O'Briant, who lives in Jal, New Mexico. This sweet family could use any support you are willing to offer to alleviate their upcoming medical expenses. Prayers are also welcome to ease their worries as they move through this process. Anything you can do to offer support and healing to this family in need would be greatly appreciated!
