Carla Ulcoq

This page has been set up in support of the Ulcoq family at this difficult time.

Carla has Uveal Metastatic Melanoma. A very rare form of melanoma that has metastasised in her liver and was found in a recent diagnosis. Some may be aware that when Carla was 13 her left eye was removed due to this cancer, and at the time it was all contained in her eye. Sadly there is no way to have stopped or predicted this happening 13 years later, and the Ulcoq family are absolutely heartbroken. The family are travelling back and forth from Gayndah to Brisbane as Carla is having a weekly treatment in hospital with clinical trial drugs. She must stay in overnight and can go home the following day providing she has no adverse reactions. There is no cure for this. If Carla's cells accept the clinical trial drugs it will give her and the family some more time.
