Daniel was diagnosed with testicular cancer on July 9, 2015. He had surgery on July 14. The cancer has already spread to his lymph nodes & there is a mass that is 5 centimeters x 8 centimeters (the size of an orange) near his kidneys. He starts chemo on August 10 and will have to do 3-4 rounds (approximately 9-12 weeks) because the cancer found in his testicle was half Seminoma and half teratoma. Right now, we are not sure if the mass near his kidneys is teratoma or Seminoma cancer since it's dangerous to do a biopsy at this point. The teratoma cancer may or may not respond to the chemo, but we are believing it will & are asking for prayers that the mass near his kidneys is NOT teratoma & will disappear after going through chemo. Each round of chemo lasts three weeks and since the treatment is so aggressive, Daniel is not able to work & is without pay for the next couple of months.
Thank you everyone for the continued prayers - we are asking for you guys to keep them coming as Daniel will be starting his chemo soon & will need them on his road to recovery! Any donation is not too small as their medical bills have already reached $40,000 - and that is BEFORE Daniel has had to go through chemo. Anything to help them out would be so greatly appreciated as Daniel is not receiving pay while he is out of work. As you know, they still have their monthly bills to pay, as well as their rising medical costs & we would love for everyone to come together to help get them through this tough time.
