2015 Indoor/Outdoor Season
Donation protected
Hey there everyone!
Thanks for checking out my GoFundMe page. Ive set this page up in order to help gain funds towards my 2015 Track and field season. I am getting ready to enter my second season of competing professionally towards the USA Championships. Last year I had a successful Indoor season, placing 2nd at USA Indoor Championships and was on a vurge of a break through in my outdoor season with the hammer throw.
A little about my fall training: I started off with lossing weight (fat) in order to gain speed. While losing 30lbs, I surprisingly gain more strength as well. I worked on my hammer technique and speed with the hammer. I gained Multiple fall-best and over-all PR's. Now that winter has come, it has pushed my practices inside for most days. Luckily, Im able to throw hammer into a net and also started throwing weight in preperation for the indoor season.
Goals for 2015:
Indoor- I would like to throw a PR with the weight throw (<23.05) and finish in the top 3 at USAs. I would like to throw somewhere around 23.50. I havent touched the weight much during the fall but my first few practices indoors have been promising.
Outdoors- I want to finally break over 70m and make the finals at USAs. My ultimate mark that I have in mind is 72m. I take advantage of any semi-warm day I have during the winter and practice outside.
Traveling Expenses:
Hotel (per night)- $49-$69
Food (per day) - $40
Gas (4 hour trip or 260 miles) - $45
Entery fee for meet- $25
This was the cost for me last year when I traveled to Indiana University and University of Illinois. Different meets vary in price depending on the distance I travel and the area I stay in. I usually stay at motels that are cheap, like motel 6, red roof inn, etc. When national meets come around, I try to stay in better hotels if I have the money for it.
The cost for my overall trip to 2014 USA Nationals-
Indoors- $1150
Outdoors- $1500
I appreciate any donation I recieve, whether its $10 for some lunch on the road or $60 for a motel room for a night. I know times are tough for many, so If you can't afford to donate, please share this with your friends. Thanks for reading, Ill keep you all updated with videos and posts on how my season is going on my Facebook page
