Collingwood Arts Center Boilers

Donation protected
It has been both an exciting and difficult year at the Collingwood Art Center (CAC). Last winter, 2 out of 3 boilers that service two wings of the building failed. This spring, some very generous community members offered to donate and install a boiler that would replace the three boilers. A condition of the donation was that it would have to wait until this fall. As they prepped for installation in September, the engineers who offered to install the donated boiler discovered that it was too large for the needs of the building.

The good news is that so many people step up to help the CAC! Campbell Mechanical has generously supported efforts to improve our existing boiler. However, we still need to purchase two additional boilers. Campbell Supply is working with the CAC on a great price and financing options. Once we receive the new boilers Local 50 of The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry (UA) has offered to donate the labor for the installation of the boilers.

Even with all the support, the project will cost $19,037.50.  As a result, we are asking for donations through this online campaign as well as hosting a series of boiler fundraisers.

The Mission of the CAC is to provide an outlet for creative community involvement while preserving a historic space. For more information about the CAC, please visit our website .
