Help Lucy Walk Again
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Anna and I am fourteen years old. My family and I are fundraising for a surgery for one of our pets, Lucy. She is a two and half year old active beagle, who loves to play outside, watch birds, go on walks, and be free. I named her after Lucille Ball. She brings everyone she meets so much joy, just like Lucille Ball herself did. Lucy is my best friend and my everything. Everyone who meets her, instantly loves her.
The reason I am writing this letter is because my beautiful baby beagle tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left leg not too long ago. The picture you see of her is how she spends her days now, just laying on the couch whimpering in pain. She is given pain-killers daily, but it’s simply not enough. In order for Lucy To Walk Again, she needs surgery as soon as possible. The surgery she needs is called Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).
The condition Lucy is in, is NOT an injury. It’s a disease that could potentially affect her right leg along with her already hurt left leg. The reason that is, is because right now she’s putting all her weight and strength on to her right leg. Without getting the surgery in time, her right leg will eventually give out. The longer we wait for the surgery, the longer she suffers and her knee degenerates and is being destroyed.
Please donate and share to save my puppy. I need her to be happy and healthy. I love her so much. I am grateful for any help whatsoever.
Thank you,
-Anna and family
