Help us bring Jorge home!

Hello everyone. On May 21st, I lost one of my closest friend, Jorge Faelnar Jr.

Jorge or as I call him Kuya Jorge, was supposed to go to the Philippines for a vacation on May 25th to see his family whom he has not seen in 4 years, but did not make it. It was so abrupt that he was not able to say goodbye.

On Sunday, May 21st, Kuya Jorge was scheduled to report to work at 7:30 PM. He worked as a Staff Nurse at one of the hospitals in Bryan, Texas. When he didn’t show up at work and was not answering calls, his co-workers were worried and asked their other filipino colleagues/neighbors to check on him. They saw his car outside his apartment so they knocked on his door. However, there was no response so they called 911. The police forcefully opened his door and found his lifeless body and based on their estimate, he has been dead for 12 hours already. They then contacted his family and closest friends and delivered to them the sad news. The final diagnosis is still pending as the autopsy result has not been released yet.

The costs of flying Kuya Jorge’s body from Texas to Philippines would be around $15,000-$20,000. Aside from this, were other expenses like the morgue and funeral homes in the US and such. His family and friends would like to seek your help, in any amount you can spare, to bring Kuya Jorge’s body to his homeland (Philippines), so his family can see him for the last time.

A little something about Kuya Jorge:

Kuya Jorge grew up in Ibarra, Maasin, Southern Leyte. He was a loving son and a generous brother.
He was the eldest among three siblings and had a close relationship with them. He worked hard to fulfill his dreams and to provide for his family.

He was also a very kind and reliable friend. He would cheerfully lend an ear to his many friends, and always offered thoughtful and generous words of encouragement or advice, if asked. He loved singing in the karaoke, which is a Filipino-favorite during gatherings. He has a sweet tooth and loved recording tiktok dances with friends.

Remembering him gave me both joys and sorrows. Thus, I cannot fathom the pain that his parents and siblings are going through right now.
His last words were "tabua ko nay, tay" ...

Help us help them to make this happen. Help us bring Kuya Jorge home.
