Help Winnie get a mobility scooter
Donation protected
Hi everyone
As you all may or may not know, Winnie has now moved into assisted living and thanks to your generous donations last year he has made a home for himself there.
Unfortunately his walking has now deteriorated to the point that it’s very difficult for him to get around anywhere. He is on crutches but can’t walk more than a few feet due to intense pain caused by muscular dystrophy.
A mobility scooter would change his life and enable him to go shopping and to his doctor appointments.
I have found one that doesn’t look horrible and old fashioned but has a lithium battery and can go 30 miles on a charge and has a place for him to store his walking sticks.
We have all been blessed with good health in our lives and Winnie hasn’t. He’s deaf, he has a bad heart and a pacemaker, he has muscular dystrophy, Asperger’s and he’s bald. I’m asking you to please help him out once again and help get him this scooter. He is our friend and we need to be there for our friends when they need us.
Winnie doesn’t know I’m doing this fundraiser and I’d like to keep it a secret until we raise the money and buy it for him. Any extra money we raise beyond the price of the scooter we will give him in cash to buy whatever he needs to improve his life.
Thanks again for all you can do to help Winnie. And please forward this campaign on to anyone from Carmel that you know or anyone who you know would want to help.
