We need help back onto our feet

I have spent the past 6 years trying to recover from one disaster to the next and it all started with a serious and career ending injury. Major surgery and heaps of physio and I'm able to go back to work but not in the same industry and just when I've thought we're on the mend, another medical setback that inevitably results in the loss of yet another job. Now 45, broken, technically 'unskilled' and with business' penny pinching to survive, finding another job has proven very dificult. Months of searching turn up zip so I've turned my hand at working for myself.

I've near on completed every job friends and family can possibly find and afford to support my start which has been fantastic and has meant I can cover the expenses but an income it has not been. I've spent all my savings, sold everything not nailed down and just when I think things can't get worse, the engine in my car dies and I suffer yet another physical injury that has stopped me from even walking let alone working until it gets better and the car is fixed. This now puts my home at risk with me unable to cover the utility bills let alone the mortgage.

I'll suffer though the short term pain and my leg will mend over time and I've been through some of the most difficult things yet I feel the most anguish and pain when it comes to my wife and kids. Albeit I've put everything on the line and given everyting I possibly could, they have suffered and continue to suffer through an unfortunate series of events that have inevitably robbed them at just about every turn and I want to set this straight.

We need our life back to some sort of normality and although we need so much more, for a start we need to cover the bills and we definitely need a car that will survive work and family commitments... we cannot survive without one.
