HABLA CON ELLA is a story that takes us on a journey of breaking the chains that are holding us back from our mental and emotional freedom. We watch a young Latina woman struggle with anxiety, relationship problems, and self love. Will she ever find the strength to be her own hero?

Hola!

My name is Jennifer Espinoza. I am a Hispanic director based in Los Angeles. As a freelance filmmaker, I create relatable content for people around the world about topics that are often not discussed such as mental health in diverse generations. In fall 2020, I wrote and directed my first short Blossom Imperfector around a character who puts her mental health first. In 2021, I completed four episodes of the docu-series Mental Paradigm. The docu-series meets diverse folks on their struggles with mental health. The goal is to share their stories and work with folks around the community to raise awareness and create a vision together. 

This campaign will be my third project as a limited anthology series. We want to bring this story to life so that those who may be going through similar experiences can know we see you, we hear you, and you are strong! With a bigger budget and audience, I can bring awareness to these stories and experiences by premiering in festivals worldwide.  

First things first, we need an all-POC cast and crew. We are predicting to have about 15 people for cast and crew for consecutive of four 12-hour days. A portion of the funding will go to paying the people behind the magic. While the other portions will be split between equipment rentals, locations, filming permits, art decoration, catering services, and other necessary miscellaneous items.
