Hadassah Bat Mitzvah Project: Greene Challah Bake

My name is Hadassah. Since I was younger I have always liked to spend time in the kitchen, cooking and baking. For my bat mitzvah project I have chosen to do a challah bake / challah drive for a cause. I will try to bake as many challah breads as I can, with the help of my family and a few friends, of course! My goal is 100 challahs! Once all challahs are baked, I will be distributing them to anyone who makes a donation of any amount.  As a jew,  one of the commandments in the Torah is to celebrate Shabbat, I am hoping every jewish family can celebrate, with a fresh baked challah bread! For the non jewish friends who might get one, they will be able to share a little of our jewish tradition!

 

I have also decided to raise money for a scholarship to Greene Family Camp. I have been so blessed there, have made life long friendships and had great experiences. I want to give the opportunity to others to be a part of it.

 

Greene was established in 1976 by a group of interested people, to build an unforgettable religious, cultural, recreational, and emotional experience. Since then, it has grown to become what it is today, with help from people like you are I.

 

The mission of Greene Family Camp is to create a fun, safe, educational friend-filled environment that teaches and practices Judaism. GFC encourages personal and spiritual growth through creative programs and varied activities.
