Hello. My name is hadeel Nairab . I live in Gaza specifically RAFAH. I am 24 years old. I graduated from Al-Quds University with a major in social service. I was dreaming of getting a job in order to help myself for building my future , but the war wanted to come and destroy my simplest dreams. I was dreaming of a job. Now my dreams has become a survival .. I had a beautiful life and more beautiful friends.. I always went to the sea with my friends when I felt bored and I would become extremely happy.
I have always loved summer and its pleasant atmosphere. I always waited for summer to go to the sea. But I did not know that it could be this bad when there is no electricity or water. Yes, that is true. There has been no electricity or water for seven months. And also There is no healthy food. We do not know the source of food or water. We only eat to live. I have contracted stomach bacteria twice because of polluted water. I do not remember how many times I have had chest infections because of polluted air. But I always say, “Thank God I am still alive.” “Look at the streets of my city, Rafah, now, how they have become full of garbage. We are breathing dirty air
This is me when My father was killed by the Israeli occupation in 2011. I lived without a father for 13 years. My father was the hero to me. I loved him very much. He was always kind and all people loved him when I received him News of his martyrdom, I could not control myself and lost consciousness, and when I woke up, I asked my mother if this was a nightmare? But unfortunately it was not a nightmare...and now, 13 years after losing my father, I cannot bear to lose my family as well.
And This is a childhood friend, her name is Doha. Doha is one of the closest friends to my heart. But the Israeli occupation took her from me as well. The occupation killed my only and favorite friend 10 years ago. Everyone was always talking about our good relationship. My family considered Doha a member of the family. We loved her very much. She is a very quiet girl, but when she plays she becomes very cheerful. She wrote me this letter before her martyrdom and said in a sentence: “When you open this book and read it, you will remember these days that will never be forgotten. I love you.” Yes, I cannot. Forgetting those beautiful days. I miss Doha so much.
Now my city has become terrifying and very frightening. Bombing is everywhere and at all times. The occupation has destroyed everything that is beautiful. Everything has become like ashes.
There is no future and there is no life after today. We are trying to live to escape death in Gaza.
Support me so I can stay live here, trying to have a safe life and build a future for myself.
