Hae Hawai’i Flagpole in Hāna school

We are raising money to construct a second flag pole in Hāna high school & elementary as well as spread awareness to the reality of our occupation. Last week my brother was suspend from school for switching the Hawaiian flag and putting above the American flag. This was his protest on the same day of the school walk out because of gun violence. Our ʻōpio are Waking up to their history. In 1893 the annexation of Hawai’i failed after the signing of 40,000 + siginitures  by the Hawaiian people that apposed the annexation of Hawai’i to the United States of America. Let’s support them in making their voices heard. We no longer will accept the daily sight of historical injustice. We want 2 flag poles so the Hae Hawai’i will no longer be flown below the American flag. Our patriotism does not invalidate your own. We love our country even though it lives in a occupied and oppressed state. Aloha and mahalo for your support.
