HAEC- 3GC Study Abroad Experience
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Adeja Shannon, a sophomore majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Africana studies. In December 2022, I received my acceptance notification from HAEC to study abroad in Africa during May - Jun of 2023. With this experience, I will have the opportunity to do service based learning in Africa with other students. If fortunate, this program will enhance my academic success and allow me to grow personally while giving back.
The HBCU Africa Education Coalition (HAEC) provide students the opportunity to study abroad and student exchange which uses a Pan-African model designed to promote Pan Africanism, Global Competency, and Leadership skills among students of African Ancestry. I and other student leaders from HBCUs and African Universities, will focus on the principles of Identity and the Primacy of Africa, Humanism, and African Unity and Socialism which will allow me to take actions to make my local, national , and international ecosystems more Equitable and Inclusive .
For more information about the program click on the website below HBCU Africa Education Coalition | 100,000 Strong Africa for details on the mission to engage 100K students of the African Diaspora in Study Abroad, Student Exchanges, and collaborative research in Africa.
This great experience has financial obligations. I request your assistance to allow me to fully engage this opportunity. The total expense of the study abroad program is $3,500. The total payment has to be received in February 2023.
My Sincere Thanks and Appreciation
