Haemmerle Tornado Recovery

My name is Jessi Warner a on Wednesday, April 2nd, my parents, Theresa and Jeff Haemmerle fell victim to what can only be described as a nightmare from a movie. There was a EF2 direct tornado hit on their house with 125 mile an hour winds. By the grace of God, they are still alive and that is the most important part (they were literally 5 ft. away from where the tornado hit the house- running to get into the basement through flying debris) I've spent my entire life watching my mother tirelessly work night shift after night shift as a labor and delivery nurse to "one day" have a farm way out in the country with no neighbors. In October of 2021, all of the blood, sweat and tears made that dream come true! The dream property was quickly named "The Haemmerosa". As much as I wanted to officially name it Shady Pines from the Golden Girls because it's their future retirement home, I was outvoted. The Haemmerosa was absolutely everything to our family. Everything we dreamed and talked about for the last 25+ years. We were finally home! It's where Jeff seamlessly took on the roll of Farmer Papaw, maintaining beautiful landscaping, planting a garden, and building an amazing chicken coop for Jordyn's Poultry Princess egg business, that she was using to save money to buy her own horse! Theresa absolutely NAILED the role of sweet little grandma in the country kitchen with her matching Pioneer Woman oven mits and apron making her family biscuits and gravy. Every detail she put into our family Thanksgivings and Christmases at the farm were perfection and what Hallmark movies are made of. The farm experiences she provided for Jordyn to have as childhood memories with her TT & Papaw were everything a feral farm kid and unsupervised grandparents could dream of. Our family is absolutely heartbroken, devastated, traumatized, but extremely thankful. My parents will be displaced for over a year while we build them a new life and these funds will help replace items they need to get by day to day, a shipping container and a new vehicle for my dad.
