HAF's Sadaqah Jariyah Project Phase2 (Cont.)

Last Ramadan, HAF successfully raised enough to secure our first rental property through our Phase I WAQF (endowment) Project. September 1, 2020 marked the date the property began generating funds, and the recurring revenue from it has allowed HAF to provide a stipend to an additional 55 recipients. Our goal is to continue working until we eradicate poverty among our elders. This Ramadan, we are asking for your help to raise the funds needed to complete Phase II of the WAQF Project.

 

HAF is working diligently towards making the organization financially self-sustainable in the long term. Building financial independence for our non-profit is vital to its longevity. To secure a steady and reliable source of income and ensure the continuity of care to our beloved elders, our Phase II WAQF Project’s goal is to raise $350,000 USD to secure a second rental property in Atlanta, Georgia. As done before, all revenue from the rental property will be redirected to the monthly stipends for disadvantaged Hararis. Insha’Allah, this will enable us to be less reliant on individual donors and expand support to those on our waiting list.

 

Through the grace of Allah and committed members like you, our Phase I WAQF Project became a reality. But our work is not finished. Please help us get HAF to the next level by inviting and encouraging your friends and family to contribute to this noble cause. About us:

The Harari Amana Foundation (HAF) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization focused on improving the welfare of the elderly in Ethiopia. Since 2018, HAF has been raising funds to provide seniors with no income who are over the age of 50 with monthly stipends to cover their basic needs. Currently, HAF provides $1,000 ETB monthly to 214 impoverished elders - this pension covers housing, food, and healthcare for our most vulnerable Hararis. In addition to monthly stipends, HAF has ongoing projects to improve living conditions, welfare, health check-ups, udheya and more.
