Hagerty Family Flood Relief Fund
The Hagerty's are dear friends of mine who's San Marcos, Texas home recently flooded. I'd like to take a moment to tell you their story.
Daniel and Michelle Hagerty met and fell in love in 2008. Their "Brady Bunch" marriage in 2009 made them an instant family of 5.
Their family grew in multiple ways over the next few years. First with the opening of their gym, and then with the birth of their son in 2013.
On Sunday, October 25th, 2015, they celebrated the birth of their 5th child. I was so blessed to be with them to welcome both of their baby boys into the world.
Tuesday the 27th they came home from the hospital to settle into their new lives as a family of 7.
Friday October 30th was a shocking day for all of us. In 6 hours, I got 15+ inches of rain at my house. Fortunately for me, I live at the top of a hill. Not everyone was so lucky, including the Hagerty family. They were forced to evacuate, pets and all, with their 5 day old baby, and Michelle recovering from a c-section.
After spending nearly a week in a hotel, the Hagerty's are moving into a temporary rental while they work on gutting their home. Michelle still has weeks of recovery ahead of her, and Daniel is working with friends, family, and community members to deal with the cleanup process. All of this while celebrating their baby's first week of life, wrangling a toddler, and running a business.
In May of 2015, Central Texas was ravaged by devastating and fatal floods over Memorial Day weekend. Many of us jumped in with both feet immediately, ready to work and do what was needed. The Hagerty family was able to utilize their gym as a drop point for donations and set up a relief center. Now the tables have turned, and months later, they are facing the same situation that they PERSONALLY helped hundreds of families get through.
Daniel and Michelle are people who strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to use their gifts to bless others. They constantly give, to their family, friends, and community, and never ask anything in return.
Please help me help this family that deserves our support. Anything you can give to help them through this rough time is greatly appreciated. Funds will be used for the expenses that come with cleaning up, repairing, and replacing an entire household. If you're unable to give financially, please say a prayer, or offer a hand.
Thank you so much! Blessings, Ginni
