Haia's Lahaina Wildfire Fund

Aloha family and friends and anyone willing to help.

My name is Wayne Haia, a resident of Pearl City, Oahu Hawaii. After seeing firsthand the devastation the Lahaina wildfires left we have set up this Go Fund Me.

My younger brother Keanu Haia's home was destroyed in the Lahaina wildfire. (The view over the Road Closed sign is the neighborhood his home was in) Nothing standing, only ashes remain. Keanu, wife Michelle, son Kaoa, his wife Steph, Kaoa's son Micheal with his daughter and pets all displaced by this wildfire. Recovery is expected to be a lengthy process for all families losing their homes.

Keanu’s son Keevan’s home not far from the devastation was spared. Keeven and wife Adri have 9 children. The temporary housing solution won’t last long enough to rebuild from ashes. The family agrees the best thing to do is build onto Keevan’s home to house the family. This is the only way to get this loving, supportive family housed and kept together and allow them to work on getting back to normalcy as they work through the paperwork and process of rebuilding Keanu’s home.

The problem is money and material

We are asking for contributions of funds and materials to accomplish this task.

This GoFundMe is to receive funds that will be sent to Keeven, Kaoa and Keanu for construction costs. We are also looking into acquiring shipping containers for material contributions.

Please pass this along to family, friends, and anyone in the construction industry.

I was blessed to meet up with my brother, nephews and their families staying at a condo past Lahaina offered by a friend of theirs. That's the opening picture, happy to be together and alive.
