Hailee's Dream
Donation protected
I am writing to you today to tell you of a wonderful mission Sunshine Corner Daycare and Preschool is undertaking and seek any assistance you may be willing to give to help us achieve “HAILEE’S DREAM!”
Who is Hailee, and what is her dream? I’m so glad you asked! Let me give you a little background! Hailee is a Sunshine Corner alum who just turned 13 years old this past December. Just shy of Hailee’s 8th birthday in September of 2015, Hailee was diagnosed with Pre B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Hailee endured a year and a half of chemotherapy, reached remission quickly, and was thriving! Bad news came knocking again in April of 2019 when routine testing showed the Leukemia was back and Hailee had relapsed. Hailee again reached remission quickly and has undergone intense chemotherapy treatments for the past almost 2 years. On Tuesday, March 2nd Hailee had what should have been her last LP (lumbar puncture) procedure giving her the all-clear. Devastation came on Thursday, March 4th, when Hailees’s Mom received the call that Hailee had relapsed for a second time….Hailee will now fight this beast of a disease for the 3rd time in just 6 short years. Hailee is fighting for her LIFE. She will WIN!
Side note: Hailee’s Mom, Ms. Tara, has also been a teacher at Sunshine Corner for the past 6 years- the entirety of this battle.
Hailee has a dream. Hailee desires more than anything to go to Hawaii and swim with the dolphins. Although eligible for the amazing “Make-a-Wish” program, due to Hailee’s relapses and COVID-19 interrupting the world, the “Make-a-Wish” foundation is unable to fulfill Hailee’s dream at this time.
The Sunshine Corner family has come together with one mission- HAILEE MUST GO TO HAWAII!
We will be campaigning and fundraising, exhausting every avenue we can over the next 12 weeks to raise $25,000 to send Hailee and her family to Hawaii and make Hailee’s dreams COME TRUE! We will be running our Fundraisers and donation opportunities from Monday, March 15th, 2021, through Monday, June 7th, 2021.
Please help our Sunshine Corner family achieve this goal and help us make Hailee's Dream come true.
