Hailey Gould's long road to recovery

My name is Sonya and I am raising funds to support Hailey's long road to recovery after a horrible accident. On July 15, 2023, Hailey Gould’s life drastically changed. At 6:30 pm, she was involved in a single-car accident just outside of Kinmount where her car left the roadway and collided with a pole. She was transported by ambulance to Haliburton Hospital, where they called for an Orange helicopter to transport her to Sunnybrook Hospital. Unfortunately, due to weather Orange was not able to fly, so she was transported by ambulance to Sunnybrook where she is in ICU listed in critical condition.

While doctors are diligently investigating the extent of her injuries, she is currently sedated and on a respirator. She has undergone a CT scan that revealed she has a broken collarbone, 4 broken vertebrae in her back, and her pelvis is broken in 5 places. From the impact of the accident arteries in her neck are stretched so she has been put on blood thinners to prevent a stroke from occurring.

Hailey is a hard-working 17 years old young lady, who always puts in her best effort and strives to reach her full potential. She has a very long road to recovery ahead of her, but we know she’s got this!

Her mom, Isabel, has been by her side since the accident. Staying by her side will come with extensive costs of transportation, food, and lodging, as well as care for their children at home. If you can help in any way this loving family could use your support.
