Medical Mission Trip to Haiti
Donation protected
Hello Beautiful People!!
Thank you for taking a moment to read!
I have been selected to be part of the student-clinical team that will be traveling to Fort Liberté, Haiti to participate in a week long medical mission trip.
Howard University College of Medicine has partnered with Howard University Health Sciences, Howard University Hospital, and the National Organization for the Advancement of Haitians in New York (NOAH-NY) to develop the International Medicine Service Learning trip. The clinical care team will consist of third year medical students, dental and nursing students as well as Howard University Hospital healthcare providers. The scope of care administered includes multiple specialties such as primary care, dentistry and surgery. I will be working in the Internal Medicine and Pediatric clinics.
Global medicine has always been part of my medical career plans. Being able to work alongside other clinicians with different resources and in a different language to provide quality medical treatment to various underserved communities in Fort Liberté, Haiti will be a great introduction to this field of medicine. I hope to leave the experience with skills that I can integrate into my daily practice of medicine.
I am asking for any help you can give as I try to reach my fundraising goal. Any donations I receive, will go towards the cost of my flight, lodging, and food.
I am honored to represent Howard University College of Medicine in the international health arena . I look forward to sharing with you my experience.
With much gratitude,
