Haiti Medical Mission Trip 2015

Dear friends and family,
Hello friends! As you may know, last summer I spent two months in Thailand with a Thai ministry, Lighthouse in Action, that offers a way out for people who want to leave the Red Light district through job opportunities, living, and discipleship. The more time that passes, the more I treasure the time that I got to spend serving with that ministry. Continual thanks to everyone who made it possible for me to get there, as well as those who spiritually supported me through prayer.
Through my experience last summer, the Lord definitely amped up my passion for His unreached people abroad like never before. This year, I finally changed my major to International Relations, while staying pre-med. I truly feel like the Lord has given me a passion for medicine to use as a tool to serve others and let unreached people know Jesus. I feel kind of like a crazy person, but He’s given me dreams that are far bigger than anything I could do on my own, so I know it is bound to be all Him!
This summer, I am pursuing these dreams by studying for the MCAT and working at an Optometry office. I also have the opportunity to serve in Haiti from August 8th to 14th on a medical mission trip. I will be going with a faith based, non-profit organization called Live Beyond, which helps support a medical clinic in Haiti and is building the first operative hospital in Thomazeau, Haiti. I will be serving in the medical clinic, possibly with intake or filling medications, as well as possibly traveling to local communities to help those with special circumstances.
I would absolutely love to be able to serve this community in Haiti using my passions and skills. I would be very grateful if you would partner with my team and me in prayer. Join in prayer for the people of Haiti that we will meet, that they would be physically healed as well as know God’s love for them. Second, I would truly appreciate if you would consider financially partnering with me. I need to raise $1,500 for the trip. This partnership supports myself as well as the provision of medical care to the people of Thomazeau, Haiti.
I am super excited for this opportunity this summer and can’t wait to see what God is going to do! Thank you in advance for your support, both through prayer and financially.
