Mobile Clinic for Haiti

Haiti is considered the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Its economy has continued to decline over the last few years. With poor and inadequate access to basic healthcare, the country is plagued with being one of the highest in the prevalence of tuberculosis and AIDS, among other preventable infections.

HELMT, Inc (Haiti's ELite Medical Team, Incorporated) was created in August 2015. With the use of modern medical mobile clinics, throughout the country, fully equipped with laboratory, pharmacy and radiology capabilities, we aim to provide high quality healthcare services to the people of Haiti closer to where they live, work and go to school. Haiti's people suffer from medical conditions that are oftentimes easily treatable but due to the distance of the nearest medical center, can not easily access  needed care. This is a problem that is seen commonly in the rural areas outside of Port au Prince, especially. With our organization, we hope to bring medical care closer. Healthcare should be, efficient, easily accessible and affordable and HELMT, Inc hopes to implement such a healthcare system.

My vision for Haiti is that by building a sustainable, self sufficient healthcare system that is cost effective, the Haitian population will, eventually, some day rely less and less on charity from other countries.

In order to bring this dream into reality, we need your help. To manufacture one modern mobile medical clinic, costs are on average US $500, 0000, plus the cost of materials, operational cost and for staffing. We hope to be able to launch the company in 2017 / 2018.
