Haley’s Helicopter Ride to Grady Burn Center

Hi Friends and Family,

We are putting together a gofundme for the Air Life helicopter ride from Lake Lanier to Grady Memorial Hospital where Haley was treated for 2nd degree burns on 10% of her body. Air Life helicopter rides cost upwards of $150,000. Insurance will help with most of the cost, but anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated.

For those that don’t know, on May 19th, Haley had an accident while camping and was airlifted to Grady Hospital with second degree burns down the backs of both legs and on her hands. She had surgery on Tuesday, May 23, where she received a couple types of graft on both of her legs. The surgeon believes her hands will heal on their own.

At just shy of 3 years old (her birthday is May 27th), this little girl is the toughest, bravest fighter that has continually inspired me to be stronger through all of this. She has been incredibly positive, saying “The doctors will make my boo boos better” and has done what she can to make everyone’s lives easier. The nurses continuously say she’s their star patient and is better than most of the adults that come in.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the amount of support and love we have received from our village, both local and from afar. This has been the most difficult thing we have ever been through and we are incredibly grateful to have such amazing people that have come together to support us. Thank you for all the texts, prayers, positive thoughts, food, gifts and offers to help with Austin, who was forced to grow up and become more independent because Danny and I spent night and day at the hospital with Haley.
