Half Marathon in Madagascar for my English School
Donation protected
I’ve been in Madagascar since June and spent the majority of that time living and volunteering at Sunrise Academy, Moramanga. In a country where French is the norm, it is the only English led school in the district and offers education to children from all backgrounds.

The headteacher, Mrs Fafah, self-funded almost the entire school. She went to school without shoes as a child, however through belief in the empowerment of education now speaks 5+ languages, works often with the US embassy and studied in Japan. As someone who welcomed me into her family home and treated me as her own, overgrown English son - I would like to take the opportunity to give something back.

So I will be running a half marathon (I would run the full one but I have 3 weeks to train as it is lol) and if you are able to I would love that you could share something for the school.

For context, it doesn’t have to be much. £1 = 6.000 Ariary, which means that if only £60 was raised that would pay a teacher for a month. Or similar to keep a kid at the school for the whole year.
I’ve also not ran in over a year whilst most people take 3-6 months to train. So at the very least, wish me and my fair skin luck braving 22 km on the Equator whilst aiming for a sub 1.45hr race.
Thank you for ur time
