Half marathon to help save King Charles church hall
I'm running the Tunbridge Wells half marathon on 23 February on behalf of the Hall4All Appeal to renovate King Charles church hall near the Pantiles in the historic town centre. Right now the roof is in urgent need of repair and, while the builders are in, the aim is to get a badly needed disabled ramp installed too.
The hall, which belongs to King Charles the Martyr Church, was built in 1916. The roof has been patched many times but never fully renovated. Now nails holding down the tiles have corroded and the roof frequently leaks, with big risks to the building as a whole.
Please give if you can: the hall is a vibrant and well used community centre which hosts a large number of local groups, activities and classes, week in, week out. The Hall4All appeal is close to having enough money to undertake this work this year and every pound will help get it over the line.
