Support Hallie's legacy

It is heartbreaking to have to do this and write this.
On September 12th 2023, the world lost one of its most beautiful souls, Hallie Mae Colquhoun. Nothing could have prepared anyone for this outcome, and she has left a hole so deep and eternally void in many peoples hearts. I want to start by sharing the raw words Hallie's mum, Emma, wrote on the morning after her passing:
"Last night our world fell apart when our beautiful baby girl was taken from us. I never thought in a million years I would be writing something like this and did not want to put it on social media but as most of you know, Hallie was due to open her dance school next week and we feel this is the best way to get the message out to the parents and students. I feel I owe it to Hallie to tell you all how amazing she is. The most beautiful girl inside and out, with the kindest heart ever. She cares about everyone and family is everything to her. She’s passionate, driven, determined and focused. She had such big plans for Ignite Dance Space and put her heart and soul into creating something special. She is everything to us, a truly beautiful and special girl. We are so privileged to have had you for 18 years. I just wish that we could wake up from this nightmare and have you back in our arms. We are the proudest parents and so fortunate that you’re our girl. We are all devastated beyond words and will never come to terms with losing you.
I would always tell Hallie that I love her more than life. Well yesterday our lives ended.
No parent should have to go through this. Our hearts are completely broken"
When people talk about the kindness and altruism of Hallie Mae, they don't say these words in vain...
At 14 years old, when most of us are only thinking about ourselves and our best interests, Hallie was already correcting the wrong in the world. My younger sister was in a bad situation with the foster parents she was with, and had no hope about her life. Instead of just simple words of comfort and niceties, Hallie took it upon herself to convince her parents to register as foster carers and take her in. She saw a girl in a broken home, and all she wanted to do was share her loving home with her. This is why Hallie Mae is one of the most special people I have ever been lucky enough to encounter. This is just one story, from one person.
On behalf of Hallie's family, my sister and I are setting up this GoFundMe to supplement anything that could go towards Hallie's send off, legacy, or memory. No one ever deserves to go through this, but this family will never be able to recover.
Additionally, if you knew Hallie and have any stories about her from the times you were with her, we have an email address where you can send these stories for her family to eventually read. If you have multiple, please send each story as a different email with your name as the subject. *GoFundMe will not allow us to write the full email address here so I have to space it out*:
