Haley Goes West!!

Hi, friends!

Many a wise woman has said 'you can't get what you don't ask for,' so here we are.

If we've met in the last 10 years it's likely been one of two ways: through bars and bartending or through books and writing. I've been outlandishly fortunate to do two things I love, and sometimes even get paid for them.

I've taken the next step towards becoming more of a working writer, and started a low-residency MFA program in Portland, OR, last summer. The time has come, as I knew it would, to be back out West full time.

If you're a bartender, you know: PTO would be pretty cool.

If you're a writer, you know: it's hard to get good work done if you're panicked about money.

Friends, I am *so close* to not being panicked about money.

These funds will go towards the $3500 it's going to cost to get me and all my stuff from here to Oregon, GoFundMe's admin and transaction fees, and the random one-off expenses - why are bike boxes $80? - I've started to tally for The Final Count Down.

I appreciate you all so, so much. Please come see me at Audubon this weekend, 5/10 - 5/12, for my last few shifts, then let's actually follow through on that drink/coffee/lunch we've been meaning to meet up for.
