Hamer Family Support

For those of you who know and love the Hamers, it will come as no surprise that they agreed to this GoFundMe reluctantly. For those of you who arrived here by happenstance or through word of mouth, welcome - I’m so glad you’re here and to have the chance to introduce you to a truly special family. The Hamers are the ones you call when the world comes crashing down; they’re the first to show up and the very last to leave. They love without condition and have supported countless people through their most difficult times. And now, we’re called to do the same - to show up for Ryan, Nicole and Avery the way they have always shown up for us.

On Thursday, February 15th, Ryan sustained a devastating eye injury while working at their home in Farmington, NH. He underwent emergency surgery at Mass Eye and Ear, which unfortunately will not be his last. He is scheduled for a second surgery in the coming days, but will require additional procedures and extended periods of recovery in the months ahead. The physical implications of this accident are coupled with profound uncertainty and disruption to their family’s daily life - every piece of their world has been impacted, and will require significant support as they navigate the unknown.

The Hamers are the kind of people we all strive to be - kind, generous, honest and loyal. Thank you for joining us as we surround Ryan, Nicole and Avery with the love and support they so genuinely deserve.
