Saving Hamish, Dorothy's rescue cat.
Donation protected
Hamish is a strikingly large black ball of fluff who, sadly, has found himself on the wrong side of a terrifying encounter with a tiger snake right in the safety of his own backyard. Dorothy discovered him lying motionless by the side of the house, completely unresponsive. Hamish was transported to the Lort Smith Animal Hospital by pet ambulance, as he desperately needed oxygen, and he remained in ICU at Lort Smith, battling for his feline life. Dorothy felt an immense wave of relief and gratitude when he finally returned home, where he is now on the path to healing; however, his vet bill has climbed to $6559.84!
Dorothy is a truly compassionate local animal rescuer, volunteer, and cherished member of our community. Her home is a sanctuary for rescued creatures, including Hamish, other cats, a dog, chickens, roosters, ducks, quails, and parrots that have been abandoned and are in need. Dorothy has dedicated her time to running our lost pet groups, reuniting us with lost companions, connecting us through community events, and volunteering to guide our youth. She has never sought donations and is profoundly affected by this unexpected financial burden. Please join us in coming together to support Dorothy and raise funds toward Hamish’s vet bill.
Thank you for your unwavering support of Dorothy and her beloved rescue creatures.
