My Israel Mission Trip

Hey guys! God has given me an awesome opportunity to serve Him this summer and I am thrilled to share it with you! I am going on a mission trip to Israel! Last year when I first started attending PCC, I felt the Lord leading me to go on a mission trip to Israel. At first, I did not want to go to Israel because I was worried about all the radical Islam in the Middle East; but I knew from experience that it is a lot easier to follow God's will than to fight it. Therefore this year, I prayed that God would open a door, and He did through Shalom ministries!
Shalom Ministries is a Jewish outreach ministry based in New York. Though they are based in New York, they reach out to churches all around the world and encourage them to minister to the Jewish community in their area. Every Christmas and summer break, they take a group of college students to the Holy land. I'm excited it's really happening! My trip will take place from May 19th to June 22nd. First I will fly to New York for training for a week and a half. Then I will go over to the Holy Land for two and a half weeks! While in Israel, we will participate in evangelistic outreach with other churches (and see a few sights of course). We will also help minister to the community in a variety of ways which in the past has included things like working in a food distribution center, preparing a new wing at a mental hospital, and assisting at a center for the blind. Finally at the end of the trip, we will fly into Poland and visit Auschwitz-Birkenau death camps to challenge the group to reach out to more lost.
The cost is estimated to be around $4,500.00 which will cover airfare, housing, and most meals. Will you please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry through prayer, encouragement, and financial support? Whatever amount you feel the Lord leading you to give would be greatly appreciated and a wonderful blessing.
