Hamline Elementary Yearbook SY23-24
Donation protected
My name is Liz Weise. I am a teacher at Hamline Elementary School. I have been teaching at Hamline for nine years. I spent five of those years teaching digital media art skills to fourth and fifth grade students after school in a program called Extended Day Learning-Plus, EDL+. Our EDL+ group meets every Tuesday after school to create our schools yearbook. For example, students join together to write small passages about pages such as science class, plan school wide polls, plan student quotes, take photos of their classmates or during field trips, and finally piecing it all together to create the yearbook pages through the online creation platform with Entourage Yearbooks!
This project is so close to my heart as I have been part of a yearbook creation staff since fifth grade. Working on the yearbook gave me a creative pathway that I didn't necessarily get from other parts of my school day. In my five years of experience teaching this to students, they have thoroughly enjoyed being part of this process. Unfortunately, not all of our families are able to purchase a yearbook for their students. Each yearbook costs $10. We are asking for donations so that every student in our building is able to have a long lasting memory of their time spent at Hamline Elementary. We are aiming for the goal of $2,500, in which would provide 250 of our students with a yearbook. However, we are forever grateful for any donation put towards a student receiving a yearbook.
On behalf of Hamline Elementary's Yearbook Staff, all of our students and our staff members, thank you for considering donating towards a kiddo getting a yearbook!
