Hampstead Adventist Church New Organ
Worship is the highest praise we can give to God. At Hampstead we have a rich musical heritage at the centre of our worship services.
After the COVID Lockdown we returned to church to discover that organ after many years of service (Nearly 30) had stopped working and became unrepairable. The church resorted to using the piano only for services; In light of the size of the building it became apparent that this would not be adequate enough for out services. The organ provides a way to minister to people who come to us from various backgrounds. As people seek connections with known traditions, many within Hampstead (visitors and members alike) have expressed sadness at the organ’s absence.
The search began, after a year of searching for a suitable replacement the Allen MDS 60 organ was found. This Instrument turned out to be the perfect replacement for Hampstead providing a greater specification than the predecessor.
The organ will be used for:
· Primarily for worship services
· Use of additional services such as Weddings and Funerals
· As a solo and accompaniment instrument for Classical music concerts and recitals.
When we returned to worshiping in person we also discovered that our roof needed repairs, this along with other urgent works has exhausted our funds hence why we are using go fund me to raise money in aid of the cost and installation of this instrument and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us at Hampstead Adventist Church.
