Hi, my name is Marissa Stewart, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my dear friend, Hana Poulin, following her breast cancer diagnosis. She will undergo surgery on March 7th and then will receive radiation treatment and hormonal therapy. During this time, Hana will need to step back from teaching and running Moonlight Equestrian Center.

I can’t remember when our paths first crossed because Hana is so active in the horse world. From driving to dressage, her talents are extensive and varied. Her integrity and kindness to horses and riders is unwavering. She sets a positive example for fellow equestrians, including previously fostering Standardbreds and donating her time to a local therapeutic riding center for an equestrian demonstration. Only Hana would wear a feather boa and blast Prince music to make a demonstration about driving more fun! Her smile and a quick joke are frequently shared even during long show days. Hana embodies creativity, kindness, and tenacity. All of which undoubtedly will lead to success in her battle with breast cancer.

Please consider donating to this fundraiser for our dear friend, who has selfishly given so much to our horse community. It takes more than a passion of horses to run a farm, and while she is fighting cancer her income will be severely diminished. All funds donated will go directly to Hana and will help offset the burden of the extended time she will need to take off.
