hello thank you for taking the time to view our request to the wider public for help my name is Mariam mother of Hana khan it’s with a heavy heart to share our devastating-story with u all we’re hoping to raise some funds for alternative medications and financial support for our daughters recently diagnosed relapse… Hana was originally diagnosed with neuroblastoma on the 27th of December 2022. At the beginning of this journey, Hana was extremely ill they had found a mass that was about 18cm big located in her stomach we later found out it had grew from her right kidney our world got turned upside down over night we was told if she didn’t start treatment she would pass away within 3weeks of course we decided to do treatment so we started the new years with our treatment plan she had eight rounds of chemotherapy and responded really well over the period of three months the tumour shrunk a lot everything was going so well at this time she continued her treatment journey although she did suffer a lot of unfortunate side-effects from the treatment (stem cell replacement high dose of chemotherapy and immunotherapy then on to have 12 rounds of radiotherapy plus a failed resurrection of the tumour ) it was extremely hard on her small body she managed to overcome all the hardship of not knowing what was actually happening to her body because she was only 3 1/2 years old at the time of diagnosis once we completed treatment she was she back home with all her family she was doing so well she went back to school. She was able to go and do things that she wasn’t able to do due to all the time she spent in the hospital, Hana is the most precious human you’ll come across she has a beautiful smile with healing energy touch with the biggest brown eyes unfortunately going back to March of this year Hana started displaying mobility issues I expressed my concerns to her consultant who ignored the fact that I knew what I was talking about. I genuinely believed back in March that my daughter was displaying symptoms of relapse but because she managed to walk into the doctors office he sent her home with pain medicine and told me he didn’t believe the cause of pain in her neck and back was due to a lump that had been recently found by myself we went back home for a week and came back in to repeat more tests. He then told me at this appointment that he still wasn’t concerned over the symptoms that she was displaying although she could not physically sit up without support or walk at this stage I begged him in the office to do further investigation I was very adamant at this time that I wanted further investigation he reluctantly agreed and ordered a radioactive injection for her to have a MIBG scan We was then sent back home to wait 10 days for the medication to arrive. Hana was still in the most excruciating pain ever two days before our appointment which was on the 2/4 2025. She had lost her movement in her legs I just knew things weren’t looking well at this point we came in the Children’s Hospital for her appointment where she was then admitted straight away and rushed off for emergency MRI scan because of the symptoms she was displaying she couldn’t hold her head from this MRI scan we actually learned that she had multiple tumours in and around her spinal column. We was also told by the doctor that she is permanently paralysed from the waist down. Due to her consultants incompetence we have to now live with the fact that our daughter won’t be able to walk again they have sent her off for emergency radiotherapy to try and reduce the inflammation that is currently pushing against her nerves they’ve said if the inflammation doesn’t go down there’s nothing more they can do for her and said we can bring her home to pass in peace as a family we are absolutely heartbroken now got the task to try and help our daughter recover from this horrible disease for the second time around , we ain’t giving up on our princess she’s the strongest little girl that I know and she deserves some dignity from this experience these past couple of years have been mentally and financially hard. we haven’t got a lot of time but I can’t just sit by and do nothing thank you if you’ve managed to get this far we really appreciate it , Hana is the baby sister of the family three weeks ago she was happy little five-year-old running around playing with all the siblings and now she’s in a hospital bed fighting for her life .
